I was looking forward to my long 2012 Easter break. I'd been working incredibly long hours and, by mid Thursday afternoon, I couldn't wait to finish my working week and spend four days relaxing. But was it to be? Don't be daft; of course it wasn't!

With the incredible biodiversity that exists in this country, it helps naturalists to have some reference available to find species of animals, fungi, plants and trees. This site includes data from INBio of Costa Rica and several other global sources. The INBio resources usually have photos that can help with the identification and descriptions of the incidence, distribution and uses of the species. The links to the global resources can help with identifying common names that you may be familiar with.
