I know that researchers come up with new theories every day but who on earth linked the onset of baldness in men with heart disease? It was none other than our Japanese friends! This research is far from conclusive but, just maybe, they might be proved right in the future?!

Recent research carried out in Canada seems to have come to the conclusion that, as men tend to choose younger mates, this has led older women to believe that reproduction is pointless and so become less fertile which, in turn, leads to the menopause. But is this true? I suspect not.

Back in 2009 I published a true Victorian tale surrounding the murder of a 4 year old boy in Wiltshire. The local police weren’t able to solve the crime so the magistrates called for the assistance of Scotland Yard and to that end Jonathan Whicher took on the case although it ultimately resulted in his loss of credibility. I have now republished this, as a new TV drama is about to hit our screens on ITV here in the UK surrounding another Whicher tale and I thought some of my readers might be interested!
