I received an email from Hillside this morning relating to a slaughterhouse in Nantwich, Cheshire. I set out below the contents of the email and would urge you to add your name to the petition. I did so as soon as I read it. I’ve posted it on Twitter and would be grateful if those who sign it would kindly forward it to anyone who may be interested.

I’m not sure whether this applies to the rest of the world, but over here in the UK we can’t get enough curry. Whether it be meeting friends in a local Indian restaurant, picking up a takeaway, getting a home delivery or even reverting to ready made sauces and cooking it at home, the majority of us enjoy the colour, variety and spiciness of a curry.

I’ve just read an interesting article about newly minted 5p an 10p coins possibly causing serious skin problems. Personally, I’m fairly tolerant to most things but this could affect people who handle British coins regularly or who are already nickel intolerant.
