I think most of us have tried some odd diets in our time; the Atkins diet, the cabbage soup diet, the grapefruit diet and even Slimfast – basically a milk shake; professed to “fill you up”, to be drunk twice a day, but ultimately leaving you feeling empty, tired and miserable - to name but a few and yes, I’ve been drawn into the trap from time to time too!

Mediterranean Design Influences in Architecture
The architectural heritage of the Mediterranean displays a marvelous mélange of both vernacular and highly sophisticated forms. The vernacular or the indigenous building began with largely unplanned shelters – round, oval, then, megaron shaped – using local materials. Mud was mixed with straw then baked in the hot sun. Later stone was cut and carefully fitted together to use with the mud bricks or alone. These simple structures are still being built.
