An epic musical masterpiece that has to be seen to be believed. Based on a novel, "Les Misérables" tells the story of a man that breaks his parole to start a new life, as mayor of a small town in 19th century France. Along the way, he almost blows his cover to try and aid a factory worker named Fantine, who struggles each day to earn a living to provide for her daughter, Cosette. Meanwhile, Jean Valjean is constantly pursued by a vicious policeman Javert, who will stop at nothing until he sees Jean behind bars again.
