Having got up relatively early on a Sunday morning I went to enjoy my breakfast at the bottom of the garden in the welcome warm spring sun and discovered that I wasn’t the only one who’d had a lie-in.

Adam was lucky enough to look out of our office window and see a young deer nibbling away at the brambles and nettles about 3 ft away from the bottom of our garden. I don’t know whether he knows that he’s on animal sanctuary land and can’t be shot there or whether he’s just not old enough yet to be aware that, if he ain’t careful, he’s going to end up as venison pie come next autumn! I’d like to think it’s the former rather than the latter. I suspect the young nettles and bramble shoots are quite sweet at the moment.

I was out to prove that there's no merit in the "Friday the 13th" myth. But would my theory prove correct? It’s 9.15 and I’ve just come into my home office and checked the calendar. Friday the 13th! So, how’s my day so far?
