Having got up relatively early on a Sunday morning I went to enjoy my breakfast at the bottom of the garden in the welcome warm spring sun and discovered that I wasn’t the only one who’d had a lie-in.

This is a brief essay about the importance of our contribution to personal growth. Drawing metaphors from gardening, it talks about the importance of weeding out what attempts to choke our growth, pruning away those habits and influences that hold us back from growth, removing the dead habits that keep us from exposing our new growth to sunlight, appropriately confronting the rain of challenge and struggle, and being sure to water the new growth in the proper balance to avoid drowning out the beauty of our life's garden.

Patti Williams was a pro wrestling valet in the 1980s best known as Precious.
She was born on January 1st, 1955 in Ontario, Canada and started her wrestling career as the valet for her husband Jimmy Garvin in World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) wrestling promotion in 1983.
She replaced his previous valet, Sunshine (Valerie French, who was Garvin's Cousin), causing a feud and many catfights in the ring between the two.
