I’ve always had a “bent” towards more arty things. Since about the age of 5 I’ve enjoyed writing and I also loved dancing and, as it happens, I represented my local school at county level with the latter. Now some 45 years later it seems that my love of dancing may come to the fore in helping to prevent the onset of Parkinsons disease.

Legend says that Saint Patrick drove the snakes from Ireland, but that is not literally true. The reference more than likely refers to him driving away the pagan beliefs of the Irish people. The snake or serpent was worshiped by Pagans. Therefore, the legend of the snakes is considered to be symbolic, not actually true.
