St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner, you may be thinking about trying an authentic Irish beer. But how do you decide, with so many to choose from. Well, the first bit of advice is definitely avoid the green beer. Just because it is green does not make it Irish.

Of all the supposedly bad beers, I guess I would rather drink Pabst Blue Ribbon than any of the others. The smell is vaguely reminiscent of Old Milwaukee (what is it with these Milwaukee beers?) but the taste is a little better, not as fizzy and a bare touch of sweetness. This is a good bowling alley and pool hall beer.
