Emerge Literary Journal is a new online and printing journal for up and coming poets and is now excepting flash fiction. The journal brings together talented up and coming poets as well as established poets and aims to publish poets who are currently emerging on the literary scene.

I was looking forward to my long 2012 Easter break. I'd been working incredibly long hours and, by mid Thursday afternoon, I couldn't wait to finish my working week and spend four days relaxing. But was it to be? Don't be daft; of course it wasn't!

Ricky Teague is a street poet from Oakland just out side San Francisco, who sells his poetry on the streets on Market Street and Powell. He is a great character and talented writer whom my brief encounter inspired me as a man and writer.
