Mom said everyone needs to go to church on Sunday, and we did. Our church was Euclid Avenue Baptist Church in Bristol Virginia, about three miles from home. Mom said that’s were we went when we lived in Rice Terrace before moving and she didn’t see any sense in changing churches just because we moved across town. So we would get up on Sunday morning, eat our usual breakfast of plain muffins with butter and jelly and a half grapefruit each with a big glass of milk then we were off to Sunday school and church.
