I’ve just received a rather distressing email from my local animal sanctuary. Apparently next year the EU are relaxing laws for the importation of dogs into the UK from Romania without undergoing lengthy periods of quarantine.

It appears that Romania have been under the ever watchful eye of Hillside for some considerable time and have seen first hand the sort of abuse these dogs have to endure but, up until now, other than a touch of human kindness and some limited veterinary care they’ve been powerless to get them back to the UK

Recently one of my friend called me as his computer wasn`t playing dvds but was able to play cds in the computer.I thought could be a hardware firmware issue as well so before any troubleshooting the very first thing I did to check hardware using a live cd of Puppy linux,which confirmed that the hardware was fine so the next issue could be of software.First of all I thought to run a virus scan using a Kaspersky Rescue Disk.
