Following on from my previous article relating to the wonderful work that my local animal sanctuary are doing in rescuing abused/abandoned dogs from Romania, I now have good news for all of you out there who love animals.

Cold-blooded tough guy Jonathan Cold is played by Steven Seagal, and he interprets this character in exactly the same way as every other hero in these direct to DVD actioners made in Eastern Europe -- this one was shot in Romania, standing in for the U.S.A.

“Black Dawn” is a confusing mess that may cause a headache if you really try to follow the plot. I think Jonathan Cold is some kind of secret agent. He goes under cover as a bad guy when he’s after a band of terrorists that plan to steal plutonium they’re going to use bombing Los Angeles.

In an effort to increase revenues and battle tax evaders, Romania has implemented a new tax law that will have adverse effects for the country’s witches but the witches plan to counter that intrusion by casting spells and curses on government officials.
