I’ve just received a rather distressing email from my local animal sanctuary. Apparently next year the EU are relaxing laws for the importation of dogs into the UK from Romania without undergoing lengthy periods of quarantine.

It appears that Romania have been under the ever watchful eye of Hillside for some considerable time and have seen first hand the sort of abuse these dogs have to endure but, up until now, other than a touch of human kindness and some limited veterinary care they’ve been powerless to get them back to the UK

The other night the wonderful ladies at Blissdom announced the location for this year's Blissdom Canada event. It will be in October in Toronto. I don't know the exact dates but it's all a buzz on Twitter already! Follow the very active #blissdomcanada hashtag and I'm sure you'll get as excited as I am and not just because my photo appears on the front page of their site {twice}! :)
