My mother has recently been diagnosed with the early stages of dementia and, needless to say, this is causing me concern and I’m losing sleep as a result. I’ve tried to get a good eight hours before I have to get up and start work by 9.00 – fortunately I work from home as a writer/digital typist for the real estate industry so I don’t HAVE to be up before 8.30, but even if I go to bed at midnight and read or listen to dreamy classical music on the radio for half an hour, I still find myself tossing and turning well before the end of my eight hour sleep!

Jacob's Story is a mini-documentary about a man that once made his living by trafficking women & children for the purposes of commercial sex.

Jacob worked as a trafficker for a crime syndicate in Johannesburg South Africa. We decided to release his story because of how raw it is. In this film, he speaks openly about his work as a brothel manager and he explains how syndicates all over the world operate as they exploit the weak and powerless. An 83-year old man was charged with prostitution when he allegedly offered sexual favors to a 34-year-old woman. It was reported that she owed him $7,500, and he said he would shave off some of the bill if she consented. He later said it didn't happen. He says he is the victim here and the woman is doing this to avoid paying him the money she owes.
