Costa Rica is in between Panama and Nicaragua. It is an unusual peaceful Central America country. It has no army, fertile plain and a great tourist industry. On the coast Costa Rica is tropical and has swamps. The forests are teeming with wildlife and are inaccessible. A mountain range runs right down in the centre of the country with several volcanoes over 3500m high

People came from many countries to the USA. First of all in their own country was hardship or famine but also it was know as the land of opportunities. The USA Government gave everybody land if they stayed and develop it. The problem was that it was not for them to give. It was the Native Americans' land. The settlers didn't know any better in those days. They went and built themselves homesteads. The Indians who lived there for thousands of years were driven back, more and more.

It won't be long and the fever for the World Cup will build up but what about the country. It is a beautiful country and has a a lot of wildlife to be seen in game resorts. The history, although turbulant, but nevertheless has to be known. Even after the demolition of apartheid the black people are still being treated badly. South Africa has a lot of mineral deposits such gold and diamond and with their tourism and agriculture could be a very prosperous country for everyone.
