I’ve always had a “bent” towards more arty things. Since about the age of 5 I’ve enjoyed writing and I also loved dancing and, as it happens, I represented my local school at county level with the latter. Now some 45 years later it seems that my love of dancing may come to the fore in helping to prevent the onset of Parkinsons disease.

Someone close to me had a recent CT Scan performed, a few days later she was told that the scan showed a small black spot in a lung. Lung spots and links to cancer seemed to everyone to be a certainty.

Almost immediately worries began to mount and began investigating the main causes of lung spots and any possible links that could lead to cancer.

"My imprint at the shore
Yours at your door
Waiting for a sign
Will it come in time?
My lungs cease to breathe
Your head to believe..."
