London Plague Pits from the Great Plague 1665London was ravaged by bubonic plague during the Black Death in the mid 14th century and then again during the Great Plague of 1665. Generally people during medieval times would be buried in the local parish churchyard in consecrated ground, but during the times of plague the resources of the parish and space for burials in the churchyard would run out, so the local authorities would dig plague pits for mass, communal burials.
In 1665, these plague pits would at first be dug in the churchyards, and as space ran out, they would start digging the plague pits outside the city walls.

We talk about sexual equality and freedom but I don’t see any men coming into the office in a skirt suit. And don’t say they wouldn’t want to, cause there are enough kilt-wearing, let alone cross-dressing, men out there to prove you wrong. And besides women (as blokes who have put on the kilt know well) really go for it!
