One month out of the year draws thousands upon thousands of people who will try their hand at writing a novel in one month, but you don't have to wait until November to visit the site for National Novel Writing Month. In fact, you might want to visit the site early because there is plenty there to do.

14000 years ago the Pellorean continent awoke to the arrival of a strange and terrible race. To this day they are known only as the Stone Prophets. Soon after, war erupted, pitting the magic of the elves and dragons against the war machines of the Stone Prophets, devastating the land. When these mysterious strangers suddenly disappeared, they left behind an artifact which legend says placed a limit on all magic. It has come to be known as the Fetters of Wizardry, but its true purpose was far more sinister.
