It’s difficult to remain a positive thinker when you’re stuck indoors in the middle of winter and, with me being a home worker, it’s doubly so as I don’t go out into the fresh air and walk around as much as I should, relying instead on a bit of exercise via my Wii and fresh air through an occasional trip down the garden to feed the birds or put rubbish in the bin.

A UK government minster, Anna Soubry, who is the Minister for Public Health has condemned those office workers who eat lunch at their desks. She has stated that it’s a “disgusting” habit to eat over a keyboard and maintains that lunch should be a time to enjoy your food and relax in order to set yourself up for the rest of the day but are you guilty of this misdemeanour?

So, 2012 has now gone and we're into a fresh year but will "13" be lucky for Spixworth? The jury's still out on that one, but Christmas 2012 didn't turn out too badly even if it was a bit muddly. The saga began on Christmas Eve!
