This sunflower is actually growing in my next door neighbour’s garden. Poor Peter – every year he plants sunflowers so the finches get a good feed when the seeds form, but, every year without fail the flowers refuse to point out into his garden where he gets full sun, but seem to prefer our more shady garden

While out on a country walk, I was overjoyed to see a pretty little campion growing along the edge of a dry field. They're most certainly one of nature's "survivors" although, due to weed sprays these once prolific wild flowers are now becoming less visible in the UK.

Pastel Peach Rose
