International Festival of Independent Film Anonymous, eighth edition, which will take place from 8 to 14 August 2011, at Saint George in the Delta, will have as special guest Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan. Nuri Bilge Ceylan will attend the premiere screening in Romania of the latest film, Once Upon a Time in Anatolia / Once Upon a Time in Anatolia, winning the Grand Prize at the International Film Festival of Cannes 2011.

Legendary Pictures has just signed British Director Gareth Edwards to direct their Godzilla 2012 project. Edwards is the independant director behind the inteligent sci-fi film 'Monsters' released in 2010 about the aftermath of an alien invasion. The movie was made on a tiny budget with a crew of five and cast of two. It won film awards in England and got the attention of big studios in Hollywood. Now Edwards will helm 'Godzilla' which legendary Pictures has said will be done in the spirit of the original Japanese character. Read more...
