Legendary Pictures has just signed British Director Gareth Edwards to direct their Godzilla 2012 project. Edwards is the independant director behind the inteligent sci-fi film 'Monsters' released in 2010 about the aftermath of an alien invasion. The movie was made on a tiny budget with a crew of five and cast of two. It won film awards in England and got the attention of big studios in Hollywood.
