When doing a search on increasing traffic to your website, you would have come across the term backlinks quite often. Backlinks generally refer to links placed on other websites that points back to pages on your website. So what sort of significance does backlinks have for your website and how can you get them for your own website?

If you write for Hubpages you might have noticed an " A " next to the title of your hubs. People finding your posts on the internet or via Hubpages can not see the " A " though. Only you can see the A on your dashboard where all of your Hubtitles are listed.
