Ever since Google, Wikipedia, Reddit, and other key players in the online stratosphere raised awareness to the masses in mid-January 2012 of the over-reaching SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) bill, debate is finally beginning to be focused on the entertainment industry, whose lobbyists were the driving force in gaining sympathy from bi-partisan lawmakers.

Current U.S. Laws Do Not Favor Streaming Services Providers
Despite the clear cut correlation between making media available through legal online distribution channels such as online digital stores or through subscriptions from streaming services providers, U.S. lawmakers continue to favor the entertainment lobbyists by sponsoring bills like SOPA and PIPA, which essentially turn search engines into hall monitors for the internet. Reddit? Pathetic, this is no network it is a troll town
Reddit is one of those 'almost' sites
The idea in 2005 was a kind of lively discussion area, topical, where people could post links to items, even and especially those they wrote themselves. The members would have the ability to 'vote' on the item. Those with upvotes would go on page one, those with down votes, into the toilet.
You know what happens next.
