The opening titles play over a prologue that takes place in Spain during the Dark Ages. No, the Dark Ages aren’t those awful years in the early 1980s when grunge was popular (and washing your hair wasn’t), but the Middle Ages. Father Esteban (Richard Moll) is some kind of satanic priest, wearing a hood and all, and he and his gang are up to bad things on a beach, when members of the church arrive and banish Esteban and his devilish mob from Spain.

Retro Horror Review: Night of Fear (1972)
Calling “Night of Fear” a movie is a bit misleading. At least calling it a feature film. Bourke’s film runs only about 54 minutes or so. This is because this was supposed to be the pilot episode of a new horror TV series called “Fright”. This film has typical “TV opening titles” which clips from the film we’re about to see, and title cards scream “Fright”, “Night of Fear” and “Created by Terry Bourke”.

Retro Horror Review: Screams of a Winter Night (1979)
You know what it’s like. Sometimes you feel like watching a really shitty movie. Something really low-budget that’s badly directed, badly written, badly acted and that has pretty crappy cinematography. Sometimes you don’t feel like watching a movie like this, but this is what you get.

Retro Horror Review: Cheerleader Camp (1988)
Making a slasher movie about cheerleaders, now that is a stroke of genius. The only thing that could beat that would be a slasher involving centerfold models. John Quinn’s movie has a very simple plot -- which of course is a good thing when it comes to horror movies and especially slasher. No damn boring plot in the way of the good stuff! Alison (Russell) and her team of cheerleaders arrive to a camp where there’s going to be held a cheerleading competition. Poor Alison is suffering from bad nightmares in which she’s slashed by razor sharp pom poms, or see people get killed.
