Breakfast food can comprise just about anything, and in different countries people have their own ideas about what to eat for breakfast.

In France, for example, a typical breakfast might consist of a croissant or some french bread, black coffee served in what looks like a cereal bowl, and it's for dipping the bread in as well as drinking.

That's a bit too basic for me, although if there is some good fresh bread around, several really thick slices with butter makes a great breakfast.
