Bacon Explosion turns to Bacon Frenzy

Bacon fanatic? You've come to the right place.

Ever since Jason Day and Aaron Chronister from bbqaddicts.com came up with the "bacon explosion" idea bacon mania has crept across the United States.

Why are people so obsessed with this meat from the belly of a pig?

Sara Hepola suggests that part of the reason is that "Loving bacon is like shoving a middle finger in the face of all that is healthy and holy while an unflitered cigarette smolders between your lips." She also mentions that bacon is sexy and that "Bacon is American".

Each year around Christmas time my wife and I hold a friendly white elephant gift party. Each year it gets a little more rowdy than the year before.
