Working in a zoo is a caring profession. People care about animals but they care about people too. As caring for animals is unpredictable and sometimes labour intensive there are many zoos which rely to some degree on volunteers. Many volunteers give up their free time to help out doing a variety of tasks. This may be within the education centre or dealing with zoo visitor queries. Often termed ‘Docents’, these dedicated people can play a very important role within their zoo. Some may work in the zoo daily, weekly, monthly and sometimes for very many years.

I love animals, visiting zoo's and photography so I've put all my loves together and after 4 years of photographing the animals in various zoo's I decided it was about time to share some zoo photography tips with people who are interested. They are very simple and straight forward tips but I believe vital in taking that perfect photo.
