L. Frank Baum directs this silent film about the magical land of Oz. King Krewl takes control of the Emerald City, and forces his only daughter to marry Googly-Goo, even though she's hopelessly in love with a farm boy named Pon.

Needless to say, this angers the King, so he hires the evil witch, Mombi, to freeze her heart, so she can never love Pon again. Now, Pon must try to break the spell, while the scarecrow ends up leading an army to try and take back the throne from the evil King Krewl.

Thanksgiving became an United States official holiday in 1941. This status developed a new trend among people: decorating their houses and yards with Fall and harvest themed decorating items.

In reality, most of these decorations were used in the end of harvest pagan European festivities while some other of these decorations developed during the 20th century.

The most common Thanksgiving decorations we can see in our neighbours' yards and houses include foddershocks, bundles of cornstalks, pumpkins, cushaw and scarecrows as all of them are symbols of the Fall season.
