The winners of the 17th Annual Webby Awards and the People's Voice Webby Awards were announced yesterday at WebbyAwards.com. With websites such as BarackObama.com and Mashable.com to celebrities such as Grimes and Jerry Seinfeld on the winners list, this year's Webby Awards show is bound to be a good one. For some conservatives, Game Change, HBO’s adaptation of the book by the same name concentrating only on Sarah Palin’s vice presidential run, amounts to nothing more but a partisan smear. Sarah Palin denounced the film as inaccurate and claimed that she did not plan to watch it. I on the other hand, particularly as a staunch liberal, could not wait to see it. I was not disappointed. Julianne Moore did an incredible job as Sarah Palin and actually made me feel some sympathy for the shockingly unqualified would-be vice president.

The magazine Esquire is facing a lawsuit brought upon them by two birthers. The magazine published an article back in May of 2011, criticizing a book about president Obama's birth issue. The two men who wrote the book feels that they have been defamed and their book sales suffered. The men are seeking around $260 million in damages.
