Most folks celebrate the fourth of July within the town where we tend to reside, or maybe in a very town where we've relatives or friends we tend to attempt to visit. This year, however, contemplate taking a visit to at least one of the cities listed below, where the choices for celebrating our nation's independence cannot be beat.

We had a studio down by Dow Chemical in the Jennings Valley, so we had 24/7 access to practice and there was always some other bands practicing so it was a rockin’ place. It was called Level 3 and had two floors with about ten bands on each floor. It was surrounded by railroad tracks and factories and parking lots so we had total freedom, we could practice as loud or as late as we wanted to, and we could break outside and drink and smoke weed without any fear of getting busted or hassled.

Tenerife's Traveller Blues Band have just been crowned the Best Band Bar None 2011 in a battle of the bands competition. The band were presented with their winnings and trophy at AJ's Bar None in Torviscas where they delighted fans with their mix of blues and rock cover songs as well as original numbers, all played in their distinctive style and fronted by singer and musician Whiskey.
