Baran Ornarli wrote an essay on the subjet of Artificial Intelligence (AI) the specific question being can computers be human? And if so, how? A computer would need to simulate human emotions so well that it should indeed live them litterally, and so not be a cold computer anymore but experience emotions, which can have its downsides too...

Vitamin K may boost effects of cancer pill Nexavar
They said combining vitamin K with the cancer pill Nexavar or sorafenib sold by Onyx Pharmaceuticals Inc and German drugmaker Bayer AG helped it kill liver and pancreatic cancer in human cell cultures.
“K vitamins … appear to enhance the effects of sorafenib, thus requiring lower, less-toxic doses,” Dr. Brian Carr of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia said in a statement.
Want to reduce breast cancer risk? Eat walnuts
Researchers at Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia, found that lab mice bred to develop breast cancer had a significantly lower risk of breast cancer if fed the human equivalent of a handful of walnuts a day.
“Walnuts are better than cookies, french fries or potato chips when you need a snack,” Elaine Hardman, one of the researchers working on the study, said in a statement.
“We know that a healthy diet overall prevents all manner of chronic diseases,” she said.
Compound in Berries May Lessen Sun Damage
Researchers in Korea applied ellagic acid, an antioxidant found in raspberries, strawberries, cranberries and pomegranates, to human skin cells in the lab and to the skin of hairless mice that had been exposed to strong, ultraviolet rays.
In the human cells, ellagic acid reduced the destruction of collagen and inflammatory response, both major causes of wrinkles.
Researchers had a similar result in 4-week-old mice, which are often used in dermatology studies because their skin is similar to that of humans.
Gene Studies Reveal Cancer’s Secrets
So say scientists who outlined their research Tuesday in five presentations at the American Association for Cancer Research’s annual meeting, in Denver.
“This is an interesting set of presentations,” John S. Witte, a professor in the Institute for Human Genetics at the University of California, San Francisco, said during a midday press conference. “All the studies have an impact on the potential to predict risk or recurrence or response to treatment,” he said.
