I had always thought that DeLonghi were one of THE electrical items to own. They had an excellent reputation and were highly prized amongst the great and the good to grace their kitchens, and much admired by dinner guests fortunate enough to be invited into a DeLonghi owner’s home.

I was driving from Tucson to Phoenix on I-10 recently. In Phoenix, near the airport, I snapped this photo of a transformer against the setting sun. The sky was hazy from pollution and the desert heat. The mountains that cut through the city provide a jagged backdrop. The headlights of southbound/westbound I-10 traffic can be seen in the lower right edge of the picture.
