Based on an old Japanese folklore about a princess found in a bamboo shoot. One day, a bamboo cutter comes across a beautiful little girl that's small enough to fit in the palm of his hand. He takes her home to his wife, and she immediately grows to be a human size baby afterwards. Unaware where she came from, the elderly couple decide to raise her as their own. Eventually, they come across a new found fortune, as they try to give her a better life.

Based on a novel by Roger S. Baum entitled "Dorothy of Oz." The film takes place immediately after the events of the first 1939 film. Dorothy has returned to Kansas only to find that her entire hometown has been destroyed by the same tornado that teleported her to Oz, to begin with. Meanwhile in Oz, several years have passed, and an evil Jester has taken over the Emerald City. In one last attempt to save Oz, scarecrow uses his rainbow machine to summon back it's greatest champion...Dorothy Gale from Kansas.
