Is another meteor like the one that kicked off the Ice Age and extinction of dinosaurs on a collision course with the earth as we speak? It may not be imminent but this chart and video give an idea of the likelihood and potential impact!

Blue skies can be lovely, but too many sunny days in a row with no clouds in the sky can get monotonous. I find cloudy skies much more interesting. To me the blue skies represent those carefree days when things go as expected and there are no unpleasant surprises. The clouds represent the difficulties and sorrows that enter our lives. So the question is, do those clouds really have silver linings, or is that just a saying that doesn't hold water? (Sorry, I couldn't help it.) I offer my perspective in this brief photo essay.

No matter how it is said, it all means one thing to me…Katie bar the door!!!! It was a gloomy rainy day in McKinney, Texas. One of the very few rainy days experienced since moving from Maryland in the summertime. It seemed like a typical thunder storm experience …that is until I heard the faint sound of the local tornado siren in our neighboring community. Though I knew I moved into Tornado Alley, this is a sound I was not prepared to hear. It was extremely alarming and I felt extremely ill-prepared.
