It was gift giving season and our first Christmas together in 2006, an especially festive season as a new couple making purchases of decorations, playing Christmas CD's and made those important holiday decisions like what kind of tree would be displayed in the family room and where we would go for our first Christmas dinner together. The traditional slate was wide open for the beginning of new traditions. Since we'd be traveling over Christmas to visit family dinner was already decided and a little two foot tree was chosen as our first tree together.
