Mills participant Beverly Henson presented the Haiti Care Mission project of making pillowcase dresses for the orphans and poor girls of Haiti…The massive project known as 'Threads of Love' began in May 2011 following a presentation to (more than) 200 participants in the Mills 3-Mile Walk and Health Fair."

GMA News, on behalf of GMA News Online's editor-in-chief Howie Severino, issued a statement regarding the cyber bullying incident:

"Mr. Lao was already victimized by the flood and a lack of warnings. He shouldn't be victimized again. Many of us could have been in his situation. We are urging the public to stop the insults. We regret that our video, which was meant to provide a lesson for all motorists, was used in any way to make fun of another person."
