The Channel Islands are warmed by the Gulf Stream. They are off France off its north-west coast. The climate if warm and they have the most sunshine in the British Isles. They are divided in two districts called Bailiwicks. One is Jersey by itself and the other is Guernsey which includes Alderney, Sark, Herm, Jethou and a few other smaller isles.
