Dating is always nerve racking experance add children to the mix it becomes down right scary. This article goes through some of the things that have worked for in regards to dating a person that has children. As always the children should come first.

Last weekend my boyfriend and I attended his 30 year high school reunion. While most of his former classmates were happy to see him and extended genuine kindness to me, a few of the female attendees exhibited nothing but bitterness and open hostility. We’re used to second glances and unwanted attention due to our nearly 20 year age difference however, most people are able to remain courteous. In contrast, some of the women attending this reunion actually referred to me as the “Trophy wife” out-loud.

We have not come as far as we think we have concerning, interracial dating and marriage in America. It has always been a source of contention, not only with whites, but with blacks as well. It is reported that many Afro-American women, felt deep resentment, when seen a Caucasian woman on the arm of a brother! Many Afro-American women do not care one way or another, but realize that, this society will try to force children of mix relationships to identify themselves, causing them a sense of confusion and isolation.
