The Algarve took a bit of a toll this aggressive 2009/2010 winter. Heavy and unusual continual rains this winter with the help of strong winds kept pounding the Algarve all over. Plenty of damage was done a bit throughout all of the Algarve. In Fuseta beach for instance, 60% of the beach homes where knocked down by ravaging seas that were quickly shifting and removing sands below their foundations. A new channel opened and divided the beach in two, originally where it was fifty years ago.

(5/9/10) Today started with some very bad news. The "dome solution" has failed. Very few updates have been available and what they are sharing, contains little to no real details. I think we are being fed only the tiniest bits of information and updates because this situation is very bad, way out of man's control and will be historically devastating. It is becoming increasingly obvious that they do not want the public to have the ability to understand the magnitude of this problem. I personally believe it could end up being one of the biggest screw-ups in modern history.
