Beautiful White Wolf Pass

The first thing an individual will see when visiting my home in Northern Ontario Canada is the endless rolling countryside and the majestic snowcapped mountains. Wolf Lake, its shoreline hemmed with ancient white pine trees. Their beauty is matched only by the rainbow colors of smooth granite walls that line the sleepy little village far below.

Sad world we live in that we allow buildings to decline and disappear. There are some amazing hidden treasures on our door step if we know how to find them. In this day and age with all the gadgets we have available at the very least we should be photographing and documenting them.

The reasons buildings fall into disuse is varied sometimes social change sometimes economic decline sometimes the change of an area from industrial to residential use. But increasingly I see requests on line and in local papers for information about buildings.

Kuala Sepetang is well known for several things. Firstly, it is the place to go to to see mangroves. There is a well-kept mangrove area, the Matang Mangrove Forest. Besides mangroves, you will be able to see how charcoal is made at the charcoal factory which is just located opposite the mangrove forest.Moreover, it is also a great place for seafood. This is because there are fishing villages nearby. Hence, whatever seafood that you order is guaranteed fresh. And the prices are definitely suitable for all budgets including for the backpacker!
