Because I have numerous messianic readers I receive some very interesting questions along the way. In some ways I feel sorry for the messianics as they appear trapped between two worlds. Disenchanted with Christianity yet not fully embracing Judaism. I compare them to those riding their bikes with training wheels. Afraid to remove those small little wheels that give them that little extra balance but in so doing rob them off the necessary confidence to finally break free.

So you think the dietary laws of the Old Testament are archaic and have nothing to do with modern society. Well think again. A scientific review of everything stated in the bible shows that God was the ultimate scientist and you better pay attention to what He had to say.

Even Solomon, wisest of all men was pressed on this issue and his answer was hardly more comforting. In Ecclesiastes 12:7 he commented “The dust returns to the earth as it was but the spirit shall return to God who gave it.” Though he proceeded both priest by almost 800 years, it was obvious that King Solomon knew that there’d be no resurrection, no restoration of the body. It would be gone and that which was our spirit would be incorporated into that part of God from whence it came, that being once again the Shekinah.
