The Hum has had scientists in the UK puzzled for years, and the village of Woodland in the north of England is the most recent victim of this strange and unidentifiable noise. It's been featured on The X-Files as well, but so far no conclusive scientific explanation has been given for these strange noises.

In the middle of the South Coast of England in the county of Dorset, lie a number of villages in the valley of the River Piddle. The word "piddle" is slang for "urinate", and rumor has it that when Queen Victoria came to visit the area, the names of some of the villages were changed to avoid royal embarrassment.
