Well I'm stunned.
Zoila Frausto (10-1) defeated the (really) heavy favorited Megumi Fujii (22-1) last night at Bellator 34 to win the inaugural Bellator women's world title.
So what was going on with Megumi?
The "Queen of Submissions" (18 wins by submission) hardly even tried to get "The Warrior Princess" down on the mat.
And when she did, she took a beating from punches.

Here are some more talented female mixed martial artists.
Like I said before, these ladies work just as hard as the guys, but don’t get near the publicity.
I love the way some writers call them novelties and how they are "cute when they try to do men stuff".
Yeah, I actually read that in an article once.
I'd love to see the guy that wrote that go 3 rounds with Cris Santos.
You know, the martial arts were designed for a smaller person to defeat a larger, better armed person.
These ladies are well trained.

Last year I did a write up on an upcoming female MMA show called "Ultimate Women Combat".
Remember that?
Don't feel bad, neither do I.
I mean it was back in January last year for cryin out loud!
Anyway, it looks like the show is finally making it to the air.
But now it's called "Ultimate Women Challenge".
