I Definitely have quit buying stuff, at the stores, to decorate my house. I either buy at rummage sales or keep an ear open for people who are giving stuff away and then I repurpose my "new to me" goodies. Actually, I have found that I would rather decorate this way. We've become immune to the pain and agony of sending our loved ones off to war. Sure we see the families on the news, crying, hugging and children clinging to their father's and mother's legs. We sigh, wish there was no war, and change the channel.

For those of us who have had to send those we love off to war, not once, but many times, it is a heart wrenching moment. An experience that brings emotions to the surface of our hearts and minds that will never be forgotten.

She lives in the great big house where different family members move in and out and everyone is always welcome.

Kind of a communal sort of living.

Normally, she's always, fixing big meals, having all her family around her, and full of laughter and tears.

She's as chubby and cuddly as can be and always smells delicious.

Her family recipes are recipes that no one else can get quite right, but her, and she knows it. She kind of enjoys that, because it makes her feel needed.

You can tell Mama anything and it's okay-no matter what it is.
