The print screen button! Something so simple can cause even seasoned IT people some confusion from time to time. The print screen button is your friend so do feel as though using it to take screen shots should be a problem.
Screen shots are no more than having your computer take a "photo" so to speak of the info on your computer monitor. Having this image will allow you to save and send the image when necessary.

You have seen this button on your keyboard before. On my Microsoft keyboard that wavy line is in the upper left corner, right next to the number one key.
You probably do not give this wavy, squiggle of a line much thought but it actually has a purpose. This line is called a tilde and, believe it or not, it actually has multiple functions that span a couple of different disciplines. It is actually, sorta, interesting stuff!

If you are trying to Scan a document to a PDF and can not locate the scanner button, you aren't the first one to experience this. Many have asked, "Where did my scan button go?" or "How do I get the scanner button back?"
