While surfing the net today I came across a report released by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) in November 2007 which states that the typical 15 – 24 year old watches two hours of television a day while spending about seven minutes a day reading for leisure. Wow! With the advent of social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, I am willing to bet that the time the average 15-24 year old spends reading has declined even further in 2010 and going into 2011. Another poll claims that 1 in 4 Americans read absolutely no books in 2006.
