Retro gaming fans all remember the arcade game classic Defender from the early 1980s, but how many have actually played Defender on the Atari 5200 home video game console? Well, if you haven't, you should, because it's a great version of the game, very similar to the arcade version of Defender.

The Atari 7800 isn't the most widely remembered home video game system of the 1980s, but it had quality graphics for the time and plenty of games that were worth playing over and over again. The Atari 7800 version of the arcade classic Galaga was quite a bit like the original.

Donkey Kong was a huge arcade hit, so video game fans were thrilled when the game was ported to the Atari 2600 home video game system. Of course the Atari version wasn't a lot like the arcade Donkey Kong, but even with its limiting play and not-so-great graphics, it was still a ball to play.
