ST. LOUIS — St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols will be out for 4-6 weeks with a fractured left forearm.

The team announced the results of an MRI and CT scan Monday, a day after Pujols was injured during a home game against Kansas City. The team said Pujols has a non-displaced fracture of his left radius and his arm is in a splint.

The Topeka, Kansas–based Westboro Baptist Church (“God Hates Fags”) planned to stage a protest outside San Jose’s Gunderson High School Friday but never showed up. The church issued a statement saying it is coming to San Jose because Gunderson is staging a production of The Laramie Project, a play that tells the true story of the brutal 1998 murder of 21-year-old Matthew Shepard. Shepard was pistol-whipped, tortured and strung up to a rural fence by two men who offered to give him a ride home. He was left tied to the fence for over 18 hours before he was found by a cyclist.
